Young women who are victims of abuse, abandonment, violence, or homelessness turn to us for shelter and support.

Many of them we serve grow up in the foster care system or leave home because of domestic violence or abuse and those women who come home after serving our country on the battlefields. No matter the reason, the Emergency Shelter opens the door to a continuum of services that provide single women with the tools they need to reach self-sufficiency. Kim's Place offers women more independence during their stay than most other shelter programs, so that work, school, and participation in the community can be motivators for advancement.
